Hello! I am blogging over at The Eye Roll Diaries today, offering my own PSA (that’s parenting service announcement) on NHW syndrome. Check out my friend Debbie’s post on The Hippie Chick Chronicles on Pinterest and Diane’s milestone in blogging (woo hoo!!) over at Simply Diane .
There are a few blush colored blossoms on my Tulip Poplar in the front yard and a flush of scarlet azaleas are peeking through my front window. It is rather bizarre considering it is January, but this has been a strange winter in the South. My confused blooms are at risk if a frost or snow blusters through, as it is known to do in mid-February and it will make for a much less spectacular Spring. At least my tulips and daffodils are holding back a bit, so there’s hope.
Join me at the eye roll diaries today for my post on why we are doing a great work and we can’t come down!
I love Paula Deen. She is like a saucy, southern fried Mrs. Clause dispensing kitchen advice with a twinkle in her eye and a fridge full of butter. Her recipes look and sound so good, they make me want to
lick my flat screen grab my mixer and turn on the oven. So I was sad, but not surprised, to hear this week that Ms.Paula has been diagnosed with diabetes and she is going to have to make lots of changes to her cooking and lifestyle. Sigh.
Stroll on over to the Hippie Chick Chronicles for Debbie’s post on a little heart and then hop to Simply Diane for her take on why a Russian doll means so much to her family. Hungry for more? Don’t forget to visit all of us over at the Eye Roll Diaries too for some mama bear advice (teen twitters beware!!)
Those words were spoken in a prayer by my son’s friend, Daniel, before we headed downtown to Atlanta last night. We were a ragtag group at best, several moms, a couple of dads and small group leaders, and a gangly group of seventh grade boys with a penchant for youtube and cracking themselves up. Our caravan wound it’s way through 5:30 traffic into the heart of the city on a unusually mild January evening.
Having teens brings a whole new kind of Christmas wish list! Join me today on the eyeroll diaries, I am writing about my revelation of how to look “fly and fresh” according to two teenage boys!
